The blogging fiesta is here!

The Bloggiesta is a weekend-long fiesta of improving your blog, bouncing blogging ideas off of others, etc. There will also be challenges with prizes as the weekend unfolds. Let the fiesta begin!
Here's a few of the goals I have for this weekend. I don't know if I'll get to them all (since I have a bridal shower on the 31st to go to, and church + meetings on the 1st, plus a toddler that requires care and attention and all that), but hey, some progress is better than no progress, right?
Bloggiesta Goals for March 30th-April 1st.
Determine direction/goals for my blog.- Brainstorm and write several blog posts for upcoming months. So far I've done one, so I can't cross this off yet. But I must rave about how I wrote it using Windows Live Writer, which is just awesome! Check out the mini-challenge about how to write posts using WLW at The Reading Housewives.
Write a book review policy.I'd been procrastinating on this for a long time, so it feels so good to finally get 'er done! It's an informal one, but I think it gets the job done, and is posted at the bottom of my Teen Reads page. I'll work on it more at another time. If anyone else needs to do this, check out the mini-challenge at Squeaky Books. Very helpful stuff there. :)- Learn a few tips for making my Teen Reads book reviews better. Thanks to the mini-challenge at The Bluestocking Society for their great tips, I now have stars on my latest Teen Reads review! Whoo hoo!
Comment on some of my followers' blogs that I haven't talked to in for-ev-er. And comment on some fellow Bloggiesta's to-do list posts.Done! :)Participate in Bloggiesta challenges.Learned some awesome things. :) If I complete my first two goals, I may go check out last year's mini-challenges....Back up blog.Complete. Whew! Anyone who doesn't know how to do this and wants to, check out the mini-challenge that The Book Vixen posted.
I'll be updating my progress, ideas, questions, etc as the weekend progresses, so feel free to stop by later on and see what I've been up to!
Best of luck to the other bloggiestas!
Well, I'm a fan of number 4 on your list! (But I'm kinda biased, obviously! ;-) ) Good luck with the rest of your Bloggiesta goals!
ReplyDeletePS - I have no idea if you're into scrapbooking (you are, after all, a busy lady) but I've got a giveaway going on at my blog for some digital scrapbooking software (quite different from my usual book-related giveaway, but yeah!)
Wow - worthy lovely goals!! So long as you have fun with the process of achieving these goals!! Yay for you! Take care

Good luck with all you hope to accomplish :-) I love seeing everyone's goals - and getting ideas for ways I can improve on my own blog. And that challenge on Windows Live Writer - oh yes - how could I have forgotten how useful it is.

ReplyDeleteHaha, well I won't have much time at all on Saturday and Sunday is fairly busy, so my goal was to accomplish most of my goals on Friday. :)
DeleteYou're making great progress! Hope it's fun, too!
ReplyDeleteHoly Cow - I pulled this up earlier and you had ONE thing checked off. Look at you go! And now I feel the need to make a list. Only I won't share mine because I'll be too afraid that I won't get any done!
ReplyDeleteI hadn't heard about this one. Looks like you've got some crossed off and headed at a pretty good pace to get more done.

ReplyDeleteHaha, thanks for the encouragement! Still at one, but my plan for Sunday is to write at least two. And I will definitley be using WLW. ;)
DeleteYou're getting a lot accomplished! Here's hoping tomorrow is just as productive!
ReplyDeleteWow! All the stuff you've managed in a weekend with events beyond daily life (and a toddler! I have a five-year-old and I'm just starting to rediscover time)... Wow! My hat is off to you, Jenn. And I love the links you've included. Thanks for them.
ReplyDeleteI'm lucky in that the hubster has been watching the kiddo so I can work on the blog. Friday afternoon I did a lot during nap time. Mommy loves nap time! ;)
DeleteCongratulations on crossing most of your to-dos off your list! :)
ReplyDeleteYou're doing an amazing job! Congrats on getting so many of your tasks completed and good luck with the remaining work! Thanks so much for joining in Bloggiesta!
