So, I have a finch feeder that normally attracts lots of gold and house finches, especially in the morning. In fact, a few summers ago a house finch built a nest in my hanging basket of petunias. This morning, however, my feeder was forlorn...

Later, I heard a rustle at the window. Thinking it was a squirrel I went to investigate, and instead found my feathery friends had stopped by to say hi. (Or so I like to think!)
