Yes, I know, I haven't written a Teen Read review in a while.  Why?  I haven't read anything worth reviewing lately.  Cue, Divergent.

Have I mentioned that I love dystopian novels?  This one is definitely up there now as one of my favorites.  I seriously couldn't turn the pages fast enough.  I was enthralled.  Riveted.  And a little sad when the roller coaster of literary joy and adventure ended.

There was always something going on, some secret to be revealed.  And though I predicted a few of the surprises, their revelation still left me breathless and eager for more.

Whenever I had to close this book, because, you know, I had to cook dinner, or go to sleep, or save the Lil Monkey from getting into something he shouldn't, my mind was still marinating on what was going on and I was making predictions about what would happen next.

In case you couldn't tell, I devoured this book.  I loved the writing, the story, the characters.  Tris is an incredibly powerful and human heroine.  I like that she wasn't perfect.  I like that she experienced sacrifice to demonstrate her bravery.  I liked experiencing her growth.  I liked her love interest and the the dynamic that built between them.  Ok, ok, I liked it ALL!

And I love the fact that this will be a trilogy.  Yay!  More to come!
